Carmelite Spirituality Network
Who We Are
The Carmelite Spirituality Network (CSN) is an independent, self-regulating professional organisation dedicated to promoting excellence in soul care ministries. We establish standards for spirituality practitioners and support those in the Christian contemplative tradition to attain and sustain these standards in their ministries.
Grounded in over 800 years of Carmelite wisdom, we accredit committed ministers in spiritual direction, retreat ministry, and ministry accompaniment. Our community is built on the Teresian ideal: “In this house, all must be friends, all must be loved, all must be held dear, all must be helped.”
The Décor Carmeli Foundation
We create opportunities for positive change by providing sponsorship and free education and formation resources to members of CSN and volunteer spiritual practitioners of partner institutions.
DecorCarmeli is a nonprofit partner of CSN that makes spiritual formation and renewal opportunities and resources freely available to those who are actively making a positive difference in the world through ministries that facilitate life-transforming encounters with God.
CSN Accreditation
We accredit committed soul care ministers in the areas of spiritual direction, retreat ministry and pastoral supervision. The CSN accredited ministers are endorsed, supported and featured in our Directory.
This responsibility is stewarded by an independent body of spirituality practitioners and leaders guided by a Board of Advisors. The core values of authenticity, integrity and transparency are foundational to our mission.
CSN Seal of Excellence
Spirituality practitioners who provide resources for enriching ministry can enhance their credibility by obtaining the CSN Seal of Excellence for these resources indicating that their offering – courses, events, programmes – meets the CSN Standard of Excellence. These CSN Approved Resources are eligible for sponsorship by the benefactors of Décor Carmeli Foundation. Through this programme CSN empowers creativity and enables spirit-inspired initiatives to become reality.
With these resources available, volunteers making a positive impact request needed resources funded by benefactors of Décor Carmeli Foundation and then communities across the world benefit from strengthened volunteer support.
